Westglen School is committed to creating a challenging and supportive environment in which all students experience academic success and personal growth. Our Kindergarten to Grade 6 students receive daily physical education and fine arts programs that involve guest teachers and artists in residence. Beginning in Grade 4, students receive French as a Second Language. All Grade 6 students are enrolled in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Program, which is designed to help students develop the knowledge, understanding, attitudes and skills necessary to participate actively and responsibly in a changing world.
All students participate in projects related to the IB Middle Years Program that promote intercultural understanding, environmental sustainability and community service, and there are many extracurricular clubs and activities. Our school serves Westmount and surrounding communities, and we have strong partnerships with parents and the community. Our school council is actively involved and supports us with volunteer time and our parent advisory council provides us with fundraising. There are several out-of-school care options available.
