Highlands School Project

BACKGROUND

We began a conversation in 2014 with parents and community members in the broader Highlands area to talk about the possibility of a replacement or modernized school in the area. We proposed options and asked for feedback about what the community would like to see.

In spring 2017, the provincial government announced funding for a major modernization at Highlands School. This new design will see Highlands School become a K-9 school and welcome students from Mount Royal and Montrose schools, which will close once the project is complete.

In the 2017-18 school year, you shared what you'd like the new Highlands School to look like. We took your feedback and shared a couple of concept ideas with you over the past few months. Now it’s time to share the final concept for the project!
