Description

 The successful applicants will be required to:

  • installation, service and maintenance of plumbing systems, both supply and drainage
  • installation, repair and maintenance of gas piping and associated equipment,
  • heating systems, including, but not limited to, forced air, hot water and low pressure steam boilers and associated equipment
  • ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications and shop drawings
  • ability to provide emergent service when required

Requirements:

  • must possess a valid Alberta Journeyperson or Interprovincial (Red Seal) certification in the Plumber and Gasfitter “A” trades.
  • Journeyperson Steamfitter certification and a valid Cross Connection Control certificate are desirable
  • minimum five years related experience
  • must have the ability to: lift up to 25kg; climb ladders and work at heights; undertake tasks involving frequent bending and kneeling; work in tight, cramped or confined spaces
  • good problem solving, organizational, time management, and record keeping skills
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to work independently or in a team environment

The successful candidate must be prepared to use their own vehicle to travel to work sites within the City of Edmonton.

Rate of Pay

$3,278.40 biweekly ($40.98 per hour)
